Our Story
In Spring of 2017, in the lively heart of Cape Town, an unexpected meeting at a friend's birthday dinner set the stage for something extraordinary. Over shared plates and easy laughter, Una and Mantele connected in a way that felt both spontaneous and unforgettable—a moment that could have been lifted from a modern romantic film.
Though life soon led them to different cities—Mantele to London and Una to New York—their connection only grew stronger. Late-night dinners, spontaneous visits, and heartfelt messages bridged the distance, proving that real connection knows no borders.
In November 2023, during a visit to London, Una surprised Mantele in a charming Fitzrovia chapel, inviting her to take the next step together. This intimate moment, celebrated with their closest friends, gracefully blended modern life with cherished traditions.
Shortly after, the couple began their traditional wedding journey, uniting their families in the process. The Singo and Senoge families met to honor the customs of Lobola—the South African dowry—with warmth and joyful celebrations in Johannesburg and Bloemfontein.
These gatherings, filled with laughter, shared stories, and genuine togetherness, added a special chapter to their story. By November 2024, New York had become the place where Una and Mantele would build their future. They look forward to continuing their story, side by side, with gratitude for everyone who has joined them along the way.
