For our international guests traveling to South Africa, we recommend arriving at OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg. As the busiest and most connected airport in the country, OR Tambo offers a seamless and welcoming arrival experience with direct flights from major cities around the world. Located just 20 minutes from Johannesburg’s city center( and about 30 minutes from the wedding venue), this airport is most convenient.
Delta Air Lines: Atlanta, ~16 hours, to JNB
United Airlines: New York, ~16 hours, to JNB
British Airways: London, ~11 hours, to JNB
Air France: Paris, ~11 hours, to JNB
KLM: Amsterdam, ~11 hours, to JNB
With multiple direct flight options and flexible connecting routes, you’ll have plenty of choices for a comfortable journey to South Africa.

Uber (Recommended - Uber Black)
Uber is one of the most popular and reliable e-hailing services in South Africa. For a more premium experience, we recommend choosing Uber Black, which provides high-end vehicles and professional drivers, offering extra comfort and peace of mind, especially for important occasions like our wedding events.
Bolt (Not Recommended)
Availability: Available in most major cities.
Description: While Bolt is available in South Africa, we do not recommend it due to inconsistent service quality and occasional safety concerns reported by users. Uber is generally a more trusted and reliable option for your travels.
Lyft (Not Available in South Africa)
Lyft does not operate in South Africa, so it is not an option for transportation during your trip.
Note on E-Hailing Services:
We strongly recommend using Uber, specifically Uber Black, for a safer and more comfortable travel experience. We do not recommend using Bolt as a primary option due to inconsistent service quality. Make sure to verify the ride details before accepting, and always prioritize your safety.
We hope this makes your travels around South Africa easier and more enjoyable!
